I thought this captured the average NY park bench pretty well. A slice of life.. this girl was reading some magazine about Bush and alternatively jotting notes down. Then another girl on her cell phone in the distance and some guy who was obviously down on his luck. I think I took this in Union Square, or maybe Madison Square.. I cant remember.

I had to use continuous shotting and take like 40 pictures to get this one at the perfect angle covertly. I didnt want to be snapping a picture in their direction.

At first, I thought the guy was making out with someone next to him on the bench - Thus, the turned-back and stuff. I was like, how is he down in luck? He's making out with someone! ..But alas. He is alone. :X

Who cares if we're apart for the big days?
It's the small days that made me fall in love with you..

He kinda looked like he was only there because he had no place else to go. Not exactly homeless, but he just looked depressed.

And even if he was making out with someone, he'd be down on his luck. Girls are nothing but trouble..
